On May 14, 2013, Mr. Pham Duy Khuong, Director of Intellectual Property, worked with the People’s Committee of Hoang Long town, Phu Xuyen, Hanoi on the protection of collective trademark “Co HoangHoang Long” for the cakes and candies.
In the meeting, Mr. Khuong presented the legal basis and benefit of the registration of collective trademark, as well as the experiences of SB Law andother local authorities in protection of collective trademark and geographical indication in this area.
The leaders of the town asked the question on the procedure and term of implementation, especially the policy of using the trademark.
Mr. Khuong shared the experiences on the formation and practical application of the collective trademark, which bring the best to the benefit of the local citizens.
For the coming future, SB Law will try to support the People’s Committee of Hoang Long town to successfully register the trademark in the National Office of Intellectual Property.
