Sir, I am a foreigner and have worked in Vietnam for the same company since 2005. I now intend to return to home country and have submitted my resignation letter to the company with a 45 days notice following company policy.
I would like to inquire about the kind of benefits that i should expect from the company or from the tax department before leaving.
Under Vietnam Law, upon termination of employment contract, you shall be entitled to:
(i) Severance allowance which is equivalent to 1/2 your monthly salary for each year serving the company.
(ii) Compensation for your unused annual leave.
