I. GENERAL REQUIREMENT
a. The protective criteria of Industrial Design
In order to protect in Laos and Vietnam, an industrial design must meet all of the following conditions:

b. The validity of the industrial design patent
Industrial design patent shall have a validity starting from the grant date and expiring at the end of 5 years after the filing date and may be renewed for two consecutive terms, each of 5 years.

General document:
- The notarized Power of Attorney (SBLAW’s form) for Laos and Signed POA only for Vietnam;
- Full name, address and nationality of the applicant;
- Full name, address and nationality of the designer;
- Title of the design;
- Indication of the kind of products for which the industrial design is to be used;
- Priority document (if any);
- The set of picture of the industrial design under the guideline of SBLAW;
